    Will I lose radio codes or any ECU codes if I change the battery on a 1.4 petrol.

    I agree with samiur100, you shouldn't loose anything else as the ecu is hard coded.

    Changed the battery on a 1.4SE petrol (1998) with no trouble at all. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to disconnect the one then reconnect the other. It's quicker if you slacken the clamp bolt first but watch out in case you short out the battery terminals. Didn't lose anything, ecu or radio codes but best advice is to be quick as you can.
