    Hi All,

Just been looking through the forum which I came across through a web search and have been busy going through the mountain of info here!!

I have a 2001 VW Passat 2.0 petrol which has the passenger airbag disabled to allow a child seat to be attached.

I now want to reactivate the airbag but was wondering what the process involved and if it is best to just go to main dealer and let them do it for me.

any info would be really appreciated

    thanks

    Adam

On my car there is a lock in the glovebox which uses the normal car key, you just need to turn it. Should be the same on yours.

    Hi Huweth,

Thanks a mill for your reply, much appreciated.

I checked glove compartment but all i have in there is a dial type device which i think is for letting cooled air into the glove compartment, probably a lower spec car than yours so maybe i got the basics

I was looking at this the other day, mine too does not have the key slot in the glovebox. I think you may need to visit a dealer.
