Parking sensor AGAIN

Can't believe it replaced parking sensor with new one and only done 600 miles and another one has packed up.
So I am looking along the lines of fitting an aftermarket one and disconnecting the factory fitted ones,will I get ECU problems because I have disconnected the factory fitted ones.
I don't intend paying £70.00 to VW for sensor because they are just taking the pee!

I have exactly the same problem. Replaced a faulty sensor a year ago, then during the winter I started to get intermittent problems with another one. I thought this was just down to dirt on it but after cleaning it is still the same. Now the weather has improved, all I get is the constant high pitched tone and it refuses to work at all. I'm reluctant to pay for a new one as I never really use it anyway - is it possible to bypass the faulty sensor so that the system just uses the remaining working ones?
