After watching and following F1 for many years I must admit to being shocked by the racing yesterday - maybe the rules will have to be tweaked yet yet again - I think the FIA cost the sport more money than the teams!!

Simple. Budget cap as already suggested and allow customer cars. Restrict all developments and let the FIA develop new technology which then the teams can either use or not.

Was dull but then Bahrain always is. Lengthening the track has not helped. Let us see what the next few races are like.

As for the FIA developing new technology I am not sure how that would work as the teams have the engineers and know-how especially Ferrari as we all know they are by far the better team with the best road cars in the world , not biased of course.

I want to see Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull etc develop their cars and try to make them unique.

PS not Mercedes GP because Shoesmacker drives for them, defector and cheat
    One German, Two Italian.
    It's a Mercedes Benzzzz though

I've only really started watching thew F1 since Lewis Hammilton started so not very long at all.

I normally enjoy it but the first race was boring. With so many changes in the rules and come back's from some of the worlds greatest I was expecting a few more fireworks!

I too have to agree that the 1st race was boring!

I think the new rules and regulations are going to make the tighter tracks even worse, take Monaco for an example, the only time there was chance to gain a position was during the refueling stops. Now there out the equasion the drivers will have very little chance to pass!

However this could make qualifying abit more exciting . . . .

Completely agree. I'll be a quid that all the races will be one stoppers.

What will fix it? One thing. Remove the wings.

It was terrible! I was so excited about the start of the 'most exciting F1' ever, and then nothing really happened. I'm worried that it won't get any better - they couldn't get close at all. I watched IRL last weekend and it was much better!
