On the wifes 2004 1.9tdi the rear washer has stopped squirting water onto the screen. The wiper moves fine. I can hear the motor in the engine compartment spinning when you operate the lever, just no water comes out on the rear screen. Ive cleared the nozzle out just in case (as it does point upward when in the park position) but that didnt help.
I have looked to see if the water is coming out of anywhere else but it doesnt appear to be.
    Any ideas appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nick

Check the front passenger side carpet!!! It might be wet!

The washer pipe has a "joint" behind the trim at the passenger door footwell which is notorious for becoming disconnected at this point.

Mine is held together with a very small clip and some roofing mastic and has been fine for 3 years!!!

Sorry I have no pictures of this, but a quick search on google for "Ford Galaxy rear washer pipe leak" might help. The Alhambra is essentially the same car as a Sharan and Galaxy and they all suffer from this problem.

    Hope this helps.

Just checked the carpet and it doesnt appear wet. However, I will have the trim off and have a look for the joint.
Cheers for the tip, at least I have a starting point now.

The pipe can also split where it passes from the body into the tailgate - pipe freezes and breaks when the tailgate is opened although I reckon the footwell is favourite

Bang on the money. Taking the trim out revealed the pipe had disconnected itself. Pushed back together and wrapped with some gaffer tape and all is good again.

    Top tip, many thanks.

    Glad its sorted!

Careful when freezing weather strikes as the water in the pipe freezes and expands causing the joint to leak!

In other words, make sure you don't just top up using water!

I also had the same issue and thanks to Rookie123 have now resolved the issue, and taped it so it hopefully won't happen again. Just a bit pee'd off that I now have a wet floor, but at least summer is coming! Thanks for the advise on this forum.
