Help airbag light

Just had the cambelt, tensioner and waterpump done on my 2002 A4 1.9 tdi. Now the airbag light is permenantly on.
Its going back tomorrow for further investigation, a new sensor is needed apparently!!!
Any ideas why this is as it was perfectly ok before the cambelt change.
I know the sensor is just behind the rad and that it was moved for the cambelt change. A diagnostic check was run and all they could come up with was to change the sensor.

Hello mate i had the same problem with the air bag light after having my cam belt changed. BUT all they need to do is re-set the system with their computer all that talk about a new sensor is Bull****. so get them to try for a re-set first befor you go down the new sensor route hope this helps

Just had the car checked out and it was a loose wire from the crash sensor in the front by the rad that was the problem. Fixed that and hey presto the light is now out.
