    Hi all,
i have a 2004 S4 Avant. about 18 months ago i had to get the timing chain tensioner replaced. at that time the car had covered about 65-70,000 miles. luckily, the cost of repair was covered by my Audi warranty. However.... i think the problem has returned. the car has now done 81000 and i have started to notice the tell tale rattleing occasionally on startup.
Shurley this repair should have lasted a bit longer than 15000 miles. Has anyone else had to have this done a second time??
should the repair itself carry some sort of warranty? i have yet to contact Audi as i want to get a bit of independent advice first.
so, any would be appreciated! Thanks.

If it's less than 2 years, Audi will pick up the tab....2yrs parts/labour warranty on their work :-)
