Hi all,
I bought a new golf plus in 2007, a few weeks into getting my car it started to steam up with condensation, all winter we have to keep putting the air con on to clear the windows, a months ago while parked nose first, it had been raining while the car was parked, we got into the car and with in three seconds the whole car had steamed up, we sat for the next few Min's to allow the windows to clear so that we can reverse out our space. Since new we have had to pull over on a motorway when a sudden downpour has happened and the car steamed up immediately.

Another fault we have is developed a noise from the release bearing, the dealer local to me changed the clutch and bearing, weeks later the noise came back, I then went to a dealer in Perth, Cameron's, 10/10 for there customer service, Trish on the service desk is a star and can teach the dealer local to me a thing or two. Now Cameron's heard the noise and they changed the clutch and bearing, a week or so later the same old noise came back, this time they agreed to change the whole gear box. I picked the car up and just as we drove back into Dundee we had to stop and call the R.A.C due to a different noise coming from the opposite side of the engine from the gear box, the noise was like a lolly pop stick stick in a push bikes spokes. The dealer said its the turbo, it got changed, we got the car back and after a day the same old noise came back. Cameron's took the car back and used it for 2 weeks to hear the noise, well nothing happened, me and the Mrs picked the car up today, drove 19 miles and you guessed it, yep the same noise came back, than went away. I have now noticed that this noise come and goes after coming off a motorway or while going up a steep hill or going down a steep hill.

Cameron's are at there wits end as to am I. What makes me laugh is that the car I use to go back and forward to work is my old faithful, I have had my 1999 VW Bora now for 9yrs, same clutch, same battery, only needed a track rod end over the past 4 mot's, not bad for a car with 240,000 miles on, that Bora puts my Golf Plus to shame, I can think of a few ideas for what the plus stands for.
