    Hi everyone, need some sdvice on air susspension again.? Rear right sinking in about 3 mins flat with no warning! I could hear air ******* out but not sure it is the air spring as it is less than 6 mnths old from arnott? Took it to get repaired where for some magical reason it stopped leakin and stayed up all afternoon, the mechanic removed the right rear air line ,gave it a clean and put it back on. However it is still leaking and takes over night to drop. Cant hear it leakin anymore though. Just to re-capp i have had both front shocks and air springs replaced, a new compressor and valve sensor, a new right rear air spring . Any sugestions?

    if the leak is under the arch it could be the seals faulty or poorly fitted or more likely the air pipe fitting,

    the easiest way to check for leaks is to cover the bag and pipe in soapy water and look for bubbles forming which will point to a leak.

    if it is the air pipe it may just be loose but do not overtighten!! the new arnott unit would have came with a replacement fitting was it used? if so i think you have to follow the instructions carefully to set the pipe so that when it is tightened it nips the pipe and seals just at the right depth, i have instructions somewhere should you need them. check with soapy water first before tightning anything

    let us know the outcome

    Gone over it with soapy water as best i could with no obviuos signs of a leak. Goin to order up a replacement air line and see if that cures the fault? Instructions would be helpfull if you can put your finger on them.. Cheers!

    Did you try spraying the complete air bag and around the lower and upper seals, (around the lower shock and top plate) with soapy water? leave it for a while (15-30 mins) as if the leak is small it may take a while for bubbles to form, i would also try soapy water on the air fittings at the valve unit under the car before jumping to a new air line, The air line would need to be fractured before it will leak which is possible but highly unlikely for a small leak, it is more likely an airpipe fitting or airbag seals on the shock. especially as you said it used to leak very fast with hissing, and has magically stopped!! did the mechanic find anything?

    Pm me your e-mail and i can send you the VOS fitting instructions but it may not be of use until you find a leak.

    just a note for other allroaders I see Arnott have a 2nd generation performance air bag!! looks like it has a protective sleeve over it to stiffen up, wowwee!!

    Hi,

    1st thought is a leak at the rear but we need more info before you go to buy anything else!!

    does the suspension error light in the rev counter stay on all the time? or does it go off again when you turn ignition off and on again?

    what does the car do when parked overnight at level 1? how does it sit in the morning,

    if not level what corner is lowest?

    can you get it to level 3? if so what does it do when parked overnight at level 3?

    your compressor will be knackered (I know a man who has a repair for these ) hence it takes a few goes of ignition off and on to clear the error to get it up but ultimately it sounds like air is leaking out so this needs traced 1st

    regards

    Andy
