Can someone advise me how I replace my Headlight Washer Jets on my Mark 4 Golf 1.6 S. I have lost a jet which I replaced by pulling the other one off to get the part numbers. Basically I can push them into the headlight washer mechanisms under the bumper but they then just pop off when I try to use them. Some instructions would be great.

Have a close look at the jet where the pipe goes on. VAG redesigned some of these. You have to pull open a plastic clip bit, push the pipe on and press the clip back. If this isn't firmly clipped in place, they pop off in use. This may not apply to your ones though.

martin thanks for the reply, when it was cold the jet pushed up, and when i went to push it back when it warmed up it just came off, tried to push it back and it does go in, just doesnt rachet like it should (replaced the other side after a bump) i tried the one from the other side to see if it was just the bit that popped up that was broke but again that seemed to just slide in without any rachting, if that makes any sense! any advise?
