MOT Advisories....

Hi All,

Just had my free MOT and as a bonus a free brake fluid change as I was slightly overcharged at my last service owing to fat fingers on the Multitronic oil qty used.

Passed fine, but a few advisories.....

It says "Front C-Links Worn" on the dealer sheet, but the MOT advisory is "Nearside (and offside) front anti-roll bar linkage rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive play"

I assume they are the same thing? If so, any idea how long they take to decay to fail? Anyone got any chestnuts on replacing them - easy DIY or specialist job - and any ballpark costs?

1.9 TDi Avant Sport...2004.

They are "anti-roll bar drop-links", easy fix. from £10 each and sharpen
-up your handling.

Top Stuff Jim - DIY or otherwise? I'm getting much better with a spanner etc Any recommended parts, or Audi OEM?
