Audi A4 Cabrio Hood Problem

hello
i manage to figure out wat it wAS and i manage 2 repair it at the cost of 58 pound...
it was the motor that gos at the top of the roof and locks it with the windscrean frame...
its verry expensive 2 buy new maybe around 400 from audi and second hand not easy 2 find because it comes or sells 2geter with the hole roof...but i bot the one that gos in the sowage box its the same motor all u need 2 do just take it out of that metal cage and repalce the one that its not working ....cost me 50 +8 pound delivery from ebay .....

it was the motor the gos in top of the hood the one the helps 2 lock the hood on the wind screen frame ....

Hi,

I'm having problems with my hood, when i press the power hood button the hood begins to open but the boot lid catch doesn't seem to release It makes a whirring noise, moves a bit then stops....I made a video of the problem to show what i mean by this (link below) ...any ideas anyone???

Sounds like your boot actuator internal electronics, not sensing the boot switch is closed. thus not allowing the panel to open for the roof to tuc into, thinking the boot is open. Happened exactly on mine. changed the boot motor and all fine!!! although mine was an earlier model then yours.
