Ok guys, i recently installed an RCD 500 6cd mp3 compatible head unit. On the box i see it says that it has ' hands free facility- phone control ' . I gather i need a multifunction steering wheel for this , which is fine, but do i need anything else to make it work ? If so , can anyone advise what i need to get ? Thanks.....Richie

just thinking about this, there are different versions of the kit depending on which mfd you have (white or red), just check with the supplier before you part with your cash if you decide to buy

Richie there are lots of cheaper options. The premium is a very good bit of kit, but it is expensive and your phone needs to be RSAP (remote SIM access profile) compatible to work with it. The normal bit of kit is less than £250 new to get hold of of ebay and some of the vw forums.

I am about to put in the Skoda BT which gets some good reviews. I currently have the parrot kit, but it works independently of 510, so can't use the stereo's touch screen.

Also be aware most kits needs to be vagcom'd into the 510 unit to get full benefits.
    Tiguan CR140 Sport |PDC all round| RNS 510 and RSAP/Iphone Premium BT |
To do list: RVC, MFSW, MDI, Running Boards
