I've been looking at A6 saloons today. One of them had an 'equipment rack' behind a panel on the left hand side of the boot with 'components' in it - roughly CD multichanger sized (but they weren't). Another car didn't have the rack at all.

So what were the components for?

Neither car claimed to have either nav or bluetooth.

    Hi,

It depends firstly on the age of the car. If it was a pre-2009 facelift model, it was probably fitted with either Bose or MMI High or MMI Basic Plus, all of which which come with a boot-mounted amplifier and 10-speaker audio system. The cars with just MMI Basic do not have the amp.

If it was a post-2009 facelift model, it was most likely the radio unit mounted in the boot.

    Best regards,

    MF.

All the cars I looked at were pre-facelift, so the one with the kit in the boot probably had MMI Basic Plus.
