Also does any one have a wiring diagram for any conlog alarm

Hi, have a look at the siren under the bonnet, if it's fed with 2 wires, it's just a siren, if it's 3 or 4 wires, it's a battery backed siren, and if it's more wires than that, then the control box is IN the siren ! (also has a valet key switch on the back).

If that's not the answer, have a look down the plastic panel behind the bonnet pull handle.

    hope this is some help.

    Hi,

I'm removing the alarm from my MkIII GTi at the mo...
I finally found the control unit behind the drivers side fresh air grill. You'll need to pop out the light control switch unit, then undo the four screws in the grill panel.
The control box is bolted into it's own little casing.

If anyone has advice on removing an alarm (the wiring side of it) it'd be really appreciated... The back of the fuse box looks kinda scary...

    Cheers,

    Phil

They were nothing but trouble, I can't remember how many I took out and replaced with GT. It is going back some decades but I remember it being a big box stuffed up above the relay plate.

Your not going to thank me because all the loom is black wires which have numbers on them which your supposed to remove after install, i have (not boasting) a full brand new one which i keep as a spare somewhere.
it may not be the same model as yours though.
