    Default S3 lack of power – 15-05-2007,08:16 AM
    Please help!! I have a 2001 S3 which goes into a limp mode and the engine managment light comes on. It is sending back a fault saying lean so i have search for air leaks and there is nothing. When it goes into this mode it is like the turbo is not working however for the 2 days after the fault has been cleared it goes like stink. Any suggestions.

    Sounds like the air flow meter mate to be honest i had the same problem with my s3.

    I will pick up an airmass meter today. The car has started doing somthing else now as well. When the fault is cleared it feels like the choke is still on under load. It holds back on acceleration then clears and takes off. It is kind of jerky on acceleration any ideas?

    I put a new airmass meter on at the weekend and it is like driving a different car. All the problems have gone. Cheers mate well done.
