Hi All. Hope someone can help! I've had almost no heating in my A4 cabriolet since Sept last year. Just suddenly stopped working an no-one seems to be able to find the problem. Temp gauge normal which is confusing. Booked in to Audi for a week and they couldnt find the problem. Have had waterpump changed, thermostat changed, coolant system flushed through - still no luck. When car is idle of below 3000 revs, no heat comes through at all even when on high. A tiny amount of heat temporarily comes through if you rev the engine but then goes cold again. People have suggested a blockage in heater matrix (checked and ok), radiator and head gasket. Relucant to change either of these due to high costs unless absolutely sure.

If anyone has experienced the same thing or can help please let me know!

    Thanks a lot.

I take it you've got climate control??, then take out the glove box and check the small motors which operate the system could be sticking.disconnect the motor from the lever and operate by hand.PS are the pipes to the heater matrix getting hot?

i've got similar problem to this on my A4, except mine works intermittently, when it starts blowing cold air - i just need to rev it over 3000rpm and it comes warm for a bit again. ive had this issue for around 3mths, but havnt got it looked at yet, as its something i been able to work round. i'd be interested in knowing how you resolve this.

I had this, no heat at all and looked into it for months. It was the matrix; if you have a B6, it was easy enough to fix. Search for my older posts, I have put a guide up.
