    hi can anyone please please help me i've got a mk3 1.4 golf yes yes you can spit at me later lol no its a nice car really but i had to put a new gearbox in it the other day and now it wont fire up i've cheacked all the leads the starter motor and every thing is ok my dash is coming up with 17 02 code i've tryed bumping it i've even had my mate drag me wile i was in down road trying and nothing no one i talk to can help i dont want to see a good golf go to waste please help me

    could be that the battery is flat?
    I like Golfs. Nothing beats the feeling you get seeing the chav that just overtook you in his french car on the hard shoulder.
