    hi.

    car is a 1998 1.8 non-turbo (adr)
    getting a fault code: 16496 - p0112 - (g42) signal too low
i have replaced the sensor with a new bosch part, erased the code, but on restarting engine, code reappears. does this mean there is a problem with the wiring to the sensor? had a look at the wiring, but it disappears around the back of the engine, so couldn't check it all properly. where does it go to? tried finding some wiring diagrams, but not having any luck.
    also getting: 17924 - p1516 - (n156) intake manifold valve open circuit.
when code is erased, it doesn't reappear straight away.

i have noticed the air flow meter is a hitachi afh60-10b. is this correct for the car? shouldn't it be a bosch part, like the above g42 sensor?

i have not got any fault codes for the air flow meter, but could the above codes be related to the air flow meter? (it being hitachi not bosch?)

    thanks in advance.

    neil.

Managed to get to the bottom of this problem today. It appears whoever owned the car before me, or one of the garages i've used have not connected the right connector to the right sensor. Swapped them over today as i had tried everything else. deleted fault codes. went for a blast. rescanned. no fault codes. RESULT! I now have a spare intake air temp. sensor to put in my spares box.
