Which is not an issue to fix, But what is the freezing temp of the standard antifreeze solution used by VW. This year we've seen temp of -10 which inst normal. Could it of frozen causing the split. If not is it just poor quality parts again?

    Any one with ideas?

40 % anti freeze (frost protection to -25 °C) Frost protection must be guaranteed to approx. -25 °C. and i don't think it has been that cold

    Hi Rob,

As you know, vvery common on the 2.0TDI & 1.9TDI Golfs, I had to do mine @ 70k miles on the Golf and my sisters also failed @ 70k miles!!!

Normally leaks at the bottom right hand corner..

Keep away from the Radweld on the Golf, the water pumps hate the stuff!!!

    Rick
