    Default Advice please! – 27-02-2010,09:06 PM
    I drive a 1996 Audi A4 1.9 TDI which has recently developed an intermittent fault.There is a slight crunch when engaging 3rd gear,but more worryingly,I have difficulty getting into 2nd gear.On a journey,this may only happen once but is happening more frequent and I wonder whther anyone could advise me where the problem is?

    Sounds like the clutch is dragging a little which will mean new clutch and dual mass flywheel and will cost about what the car is worth even non main dealer.

    check oil in box as could also be syncro for switchin from gear up and down
