V6 2.5 tdi w reg fuel consumption

Hi was just wondering how many miles people are getting out of a full tank from a v6 2.5 tdi the car is auto/triptonic so was wondering what kind of miles people get.

Currently from a full tank im getting around 250 miles and thats from £60 seems abit steep.

Wow so im thinking mine is too high is there any other 2.5 v6 auto/trip owners on here?

Auto's do use a bit more, and obviously the V6 will be a bit more thirsty.
But it does seem a bit too much, my 1.9 130 6 speed will do 250 miles for about £28.
What does you computer say you average mpg is and is it 4 wheel drive?

Your car is meant to get 34mpg, which means if you are getting Diesel at £1.10 a litre, 250 miles should cost you around £41.50.
If you drive sensibly of course !!!!

Mine gets 27-28mpg around town, 39mpg on a steady long journey.
This is measured brim to brim.

Mines a 2004 2.5, v6 estate, 6 speed manual and averages 40mpg on the computer, about 500 miles until the light comes on.

mine is 6 speed 2.5v6 estate and I get about 400miles the tank around town and near 600 on a run

Not a 2.5 i know, however I get 475-485 miles from my 1.9 PD130 5spd. This is mainly around town / A roads.

When does the the car change into 2nd gear people with the auto's? Mine goes right upto 3,000 rpm before changing into 2nd.

Surely this depends on how hard you press the pedal? 3k rpm is pretty much what i do with a manual so sounds about right. Then about 2-2.5k for other gears.
