hi, just a follow up from my previous thread about the my brakes makin a binding sound, ( a6 18 t petro; 1999 with 140,000 miles,),,the mechanic i kno came round and had a look at the brakes and said probably best to replace all the disc s and pads all round and is gonna do it for me next sunday .....i ve got to order the parts and have looked at local motor factors ,,,,local unipart and found that euro car part s were the cheapest (on line,),,hopefully the price wont be much different if i buy from the local ECP shop...has any one had experience dealin with eurocar parts??. any good?/....also i couldnt get the disc and pads to be the same brand ...have chosen ATE pads and
Pagid disc s... i was wonderin if any one knew if they were complatable and if they were good brands ...the rear disc s at £14 each seem very cheap ???/ is this a false econmy ?/ many thanks in advance for any help and suggestions much appreciated

Gadgee, go for the Pagid front and rear pads and discs from Euro Car Parts. I've just fitted them to my Octavia. They seem to be great quality, cost about £120 for the lot, which is excellent value. They are coated too so they look nice behind the alloys; they don't go rusty.
