Another thing, since yours is Irish spec you might not even have the alarm fitted so check on the drivers door card, below the door lock/catch if you have two small square buttons. If they're there then the alarm is fitted and could just be a coding issue or the siren has failed.

I think you just solved the mystery Chris.. went down and had a look there and no buttons. Very strange that as the spec is very high for an Irish car anyway as ya know.

Go into your program directory and change it back to the original value.

Remember some things here are for pre-facelift cars like the above.

Do all the VCDS changes in this thread require the full version or can VCDS Lite be used?

Full version only as the C6 isn't compatible with Lite.

Facelift cluster in pre car, ticked active needle test,but no needle sweep, because old control module?

Someone else had that issue so I presume its to do with other control modules in the car, possibly the CAN gateway..
