Just wondering whether anybody who managed to get their xenon headlamps replaced by Audi due to the condensation issues have had any further problems, i.e. has the problem re-occurred. Just need some more ammunition to chuck at Audi as they are steadfastly refusing to sort my headlamps out.
    Thanks
    Tim

Yep fixed for me, finally got the dealer to replace both units a few months ago with the updated parts.

    No issues since the switch.

I think that once the dealership makes the desicion to relent and change them, then you need to make sure that they replace the units with modified ones (with the rubber bleed thing) but also carry out any other mods required like the pipes that connect to them.
Perhaps A1exp can supply you with the part numbers off the new ones?
I will have a look on my spare set of adaptive xenons (RHD UK Spec) for the part number on them.

Would you mind having a look at the upper part of both headlights and tell me which date is written there? I´m having problems with my already replaced headlights and would like to know that date

Yes, those parts mentioned are still the same ,from 2008 to 2011 as you see in this picture taken from Parts catalogue. The only hope is that manufacturing quality has changed and the new ones are improved units but with the same part number...

Perhaps of little consolation but my headlight unit changed circa 18 months ago pre-breather tube model has stayed octopuss free.

The date on them is 02.04.09 they were manufactured by "Automotive Lighting" but supplied as original parts by Audi UK.

The thing that i assumed was the modification is on your blown up parts picture item 8KO-941-745 and is like a rubber boot that connects to a tube on the car as you offer up the headlight when you fit them. It is on the inner-lower part off the unit.
