My mate's just one yesterday and he doesnt think it's the turbo he's got, Iv'e got an Aero myself but I said to him that any car's turbo is normaly on the downpipe's, is the same with the Passat.

As he thought it would have more gut's than what it has...

looking the the engine from the front of the car it will be on the left hand side. just follow the down pipe up to it.

if it is a turbo car and he cant feel the turbo then he has problems!

Turbo is between the exhaust manifold and the Cat, tucked under on the right-hand-side.

I've not had my 1.8t that long and I too expected more from it. But remember this is a 0-60 mph in 9 sec car, max torque starts at under 2000rpm and is a flat line up to 5000 rpm. It's not got sports car performance and only has 150bhp and 155lb/in pulling a 1350kg car.

Get it remapped and things change considerably.

count the doors guys, most passats have 4 .= family car , 0-60 9sec.
    150bhp weight 1350kg

I find mine plenty quick enough, although my previous car was rubbish, try driving someting bad for a month or two.

theoretical 0-60= weight devided by power in bhp

I quite agree, my previous "Loved Car" was 160bhp at 1040kg, max torque at 5000rpm. A totally different beast, I didn't know what to expect as I'd never had a petrol turbo.
