i asked because i am in the middle of organising a group buy on them which will be copied from the origional vw parts so if you have a mk4 golf depending on the model it should fit.
click on this link for further information because i have listed all the vw numbers which we have ordered so you can make sure they will fit to your car.
the cost for the cover and fitting kit should be £150 plus postage.

The genuine article is not much more than that…about £120 for the plate, £20 for the main holders and a fiver each for the back brackets plus some fittings.

for your info the parts that need to be ordered are below and it comes to a hell of a lot more than than that as the actual price for all the std VW parts is £207.00

    1J0 018 930 C Skid plate (Item 1 petrol)
    1j0 018 930 B Skid plate (item (1) diesel)
    1J0 018 885 A Retainer (Item 2)
    N 908 106 01 Rivetted cap nut (Item 3)
    1J0 018 977 A Stop buffer (Item 5)
    1J0 018 967 A Retainer (Item 6)
obiously one of the covers is for the Tdi

I am fully aware of the numbers but don’t have the Sterling prices at home, only Euros and I was basing my estimate on the Euro price for the skid plate of 130.39 Euro including VAT. Buying these parts in bulk from a European supplier would bring the price down and to me would make more sense than commissioning a copy.

if you can get that lot in the picture for less than £150 then i will have a full set of those please.
the one i am getting made is from 5mm thick ally so will probably be lighter and stronger than the VW one but if no one is interestedi will just get one made for myself.

If you have any contacts in Europe, ask them to check the numbers with their local dealer, you could bring in genuine ones and have less work to do.

i was only offering everyone on here with a mk4 golf a cheaper option other than the one from diesel geek but seeing as there is no interest apart from someone who recons the std ones are cheaper then i wont bother with this forum.

    thanks
