    Hi all,

I have dodgy temperature guage problems and smokey starting on my Passat 130 pd. Does anyone know where the temperature sender is exactly located on the AVF engine? I had a look but could not see it.. Is it on the rear of the engine right by the bulkhead?? Thanks!
    See you in my smoke...

Standing at the grille find the tandem pump on the back of the camshaft.
Sensor is underneath tandem pump and to the driver's side. You can get to it by reaching over the catalytic and wiggling around. Got me until I searched really hard but it is in there.
