Can anyone educate me as to how I can access this ETKA database? Its been mentioned so many times on this forum and it sounds very useful but I've never successfully found it on the web? Is it free or fee based, open to public or trade only?

It is a banned subject unless you buy the registered version which costs approx £40 a month for VW/Audi and an additional £40 per month for Seat and £40 again for Skoda. There is ETOS which is cheaper and VAG CAT which is free.

    www.vagcat.com

You'll need to register, but it's spam free.

If you want ETKA details, both Crasher and Stuart have access and will always be happy to oblige (within reason)

I've just used vagcat to look up the airbag that I purchased off eBay to see what airbag harness I need. Vagcat lists the following:

    3
airbag wiring harness / steering wheel / see illustration:
    419-20
    # 3 is the item of the harness in the illustration. 419-20 doesn't appear to be a good PN - can anyone shed any light on this for me. For info, the airbag I have is PN 8E0 880 201 AC 6PS which was removed from an Audi A8! Any help appreciated!

Post the vagcat link on here, and I'll take a look.

I presume you know that if you click on a part on the RHS, a pop up window with the part no. pops up?
Nothing to see here, move along..

    Thanks Hex69. Here's the link:

I know about the pop-up but there is nothing behind the harness illustration to pop-up!

The above is a link to the Airbag section within Electronics.

Failing that, feel free to post me your car, I'll <cough> take a look for you
