I was thinking of getting a vag-com with HEX-USB+CAN Interface for my 2002 passat.
My worry is that I have changed the standard cd player for a Kenwood aftermarket one, and I have read that if you connect the vag-com to the car and have fitted another radio, there is a chance that something might blow or it just won't work because of the possible elimination of the K lines or something?

You'd need to check the wiring. The problem is that many of the aftermarket radio connecting harnesses connect the amplifier out lead directly to the K-Line on the car side of the harness. Check the wiring and break this connection if you find that they are connected together, and you have nothing to worry about

How do I identify the K line?
I don't have any external amp fitted, so i assume if i break the connection everything on the radio will work.
So I wont have to reconnect it after the Vag-Com work?, which means removing the radio each time I use the Vag-Com i hope.
