ok, so a few months ago i got a Dension 300 in the group buy from SharkPerformance, great service. So i installed it no problems, everything went as to plan, mounted he ipod on the dash ( like phone kit) everything was working ok. Then after a week or so the ipod would skip tracks when i went over a bump.. so i thought lose wire.. upto yesterday i have taken out the f**king glovebox 6 times, thinking each time it was fixed, the usb lead or the 3.5mm lead sometimes were lose. Yesterday i had a revelation. I upgraded my ipod touch to the latest firmware. In this firmware was a new feature. Shake to shuffle, default ON.. everytime i went over the bump big enough the iPod was shaking.. The ipod was rock solid, but the car vibrated enough for the ipod to think it was shuffling..

just though i would share this knowledge..

Thats brilliant, I have to admit I laughed at that.

Its well worth posting as I sure someone else will eventually do exactly what you did.

As said above, better a simple fix than a difficult annoying one!

hi, my ipod is tucked away in the glove box, on a short cable, and i think when i last looked if the 'ami, sound system' was 'on' the ipod screen had a message saying "connected" or something or was blank.........so i want to use the steering wheel controls or the main center console...............

sorry to be a pain in the bu*t, but how do u search alphabetically.....ie how do i enter 'M'.....'A'.....'D'...... so it goes to Madonna albums for example, so i dont have to scroll down through hundreds and hundreds of albums....thanks for any guidance.........me and technology dont get on lol, James

IIRC its a combination of using track skip as arrow keys and FF as enter and RW as back. I think you have to select CD6 to start this. Sorry i'm not much help but its not the way I navigate. I use the ipod GUI as its a touch so is very easy to naviagate on the move.
