Alfas, Fiats, never exactly owned one. Know plenty of people who have, and not too many complaints. A pal of mine had a 155 for years as his regular car. He changed it recently because somebody wrote it off for him. He replaced it with a 2.5L V6 156 and loves it to bits.

Any of us can have problems with the cars we own. I have had my Passat let me down after a few months of ownership. Dunt make me hate it though.

i dont actually think kia are doing too badly, they're heading in the same direction Skoda have managed to, Kia are considered the underdog of the motor industry, but have managed to stay afloat despite this and release a good few quality cars. as much as i dislike 4x4s in general, the sorento and the new sportage aren't bad cars.

anyhoo, they're doing better than daewoo

    There 4 x 4 looks a nice vehicle...

I have to agree with eshrules about the fiat. I had a mk2 punto and i honestly cant say a bad word about it. Cheap to run cheap to insure. This particular car 100% reliable.

Fiat Multipla Looks like it's been designed by a group of five year olds who have stacked the different elements into some random pattern.

Ain't that the truth Rick T Alfas are a joy to look at and are stylish.
Alfas are styled cars not designed, they look great but best have a big bag to collect the bits in as they drop off, durable they're not.
My mate had an Alfa GTV6 2.5 Veloce wonderfully quick and fantastic handling, looked sublime. Alternator failed after just 5000 miles replaced under warranty took 5 weeks to get the part 6 labour hours to squeeze the alternator in at the bottom of the engine block.
Alternator was £375 and that was in the 80's as I recall!
Sold it on after a year cost him £16500 new in those days I think he got £7000 at trade in ...ouch!

    Cars I hate

    • any volvo driven the wrong way round a roundabout by an old person wearing a hat
    • any hybrid car- how can a huge Lexus be exempt from congestion charges just because it runs on a poxy electric motor for a few seconds every day?
    • Any electric car- the ones you plug in on a night time & drive into work the following morning- don't environmentalists understand that these cars still pollute?
    • 4x4 bmws
    • any car driven by a premiership footballer!!

I hate the old Hyudai Coupe's.

The new ones look quite nice. Haven't driven one though.

As for Vectra's. We used to get them as company cars and i honestly think they aren't too bad. Nice on the motorway. (Love the fold flat heater vents )
Ex Golf GT TDi 150. Then an Evo 8. Then a Honda S2000. Now an Evo 5 (and a little pug 106)

Could not agree more. Point 2 really does get my goat, and I can't think why Hybrids are treated the way they are. Lexus must be laughing their ***** off at the UK government
