Really? Is that why its statistically proven they are more harmful to the environment than your average car and even most 4x4's?

Ok I agree the very first vectra was a major C*ck up on Vx behalf (Drove one and awful), but they did get better. I have a 98 2.5 V6 GSI which runs at about 230hp, which I admit build quality etc doesn't match up to your German Cars, but would give most things on here a run for their money on the track. By no means am I having a go a VW's, Audi's, Seat's or Skoda's as they are all quality cars, and I'm toying with the Idea of an S3 or Cupra R. But lay of the Vectras.... well at leat the GSI's LOL.

I've had a Fiat Tempra td, got it new 96, sold to my dad in 2000 it and did 260,000 Miles in by the time my dad sold it 18 months ago! All on original engine and gearbox. only non sevice part was a brake servo & camshaft, splines went, servo failed at85 on dual carrigeway, roundabout in front ! S*** scary ! Car was a testament to good synthetic oil !
Then had a Merc A170, great for 100,000, then a shed load of trouble, traded it for an alfa 156 ts. B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L !!!!!!!only an alarm ecu changed in 2 and a half years ! Was sorry to see here go, no brainer, kept blowing maf,s but decided to go germanic for reliability
