    Hi,

    I have a 1999 2.0 petrol Bora with a few problems...

    1. The off side passenger door will not open.... I know there is a trick to reset the central locking but cant find it anywhere....also, intermitant problems with the boot as well.

    2. The car itself is burning a lot of fuel, plus the onboard computer is playing up, saying that Im doing anywhere between 150mpg and down to 1mpg within the space of 5seconds whilst driving.....

    3. Since the plastic clip that holds the door window glass broke, there has been a airbag fault warning coming up on the dash!! We havent touched any airbags!!

any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated!!

I would like to add that the car has been to a mechanic for problem 2, but after a couple of visits nothing has improved.

    1) Disconnect the battery completely for 30 mins to reset the ECU
    2) THe 2.0 n/a petrol is very thirsty. HAve scanned with VAG COM/dealer

regarding number 2 - trip computers have journey average fuel consumption setting and a setting which updates actual MPG every few seconds... sounds like yours is set to the latter.

use the rocker on the wiper stork to adust this...
