So the MP's who have 9or are going to be charged) over their expenses. They are trying to claim imunity from prosicution for what in most peoples opinion amounts to fruad how can this happen just another sign that this country is no longer the Great Country it once was

    I think it STINKS!!!

I served in the military for 24 years and would be termed as a civil servant just like an MP. During my service I knew persons to be brought to Court Martial for "NOT ACTING IN THE SPIRIT OF THE RULES" (ie. they did not break them) and what these fat cats have been doing is excactly THAT!!! And when (in Lawyer Speak) they argue that the facts are not accurate ie. I fiddled my accounts for 11 months and not the 13 months you alledge, then they expect to walk away.

But the thing is quite a lot of MPs´are not exactly struggling when it comes to paying the monthly bills!! They have been given the confidence vote by the public and they are very resonsible for their own actions but they still have to abuse the perks given to them. The fact is not eveyone has the time or the inclanation to do that job, bit like saying why is that government in power when they are complete ******* probably because the masses are not voting or we want ******* in power!?!

Its not just this government, the system has been flawed for years before.

The problem is you need real people to run government, 90% of people who study politics cant be trusted.

The thing that gets me is that it's an obvious admission of guilt but they're trying to hide behind a law that should have been repealed or at least amended a long time ago. If they were innocent they'd be more than willing to take on the courts.

Much like people trying to get off speeding tickets really.

I have just lost fait in goverment completley. I am 26 now and it's going to be the first REAL time that I feel I need to carefully consider who to vote for... To be honest I don't have a clue this time, I dont trust anyone anymore.

It's okay now when you have local MP's knocking on your door ETC but they are no where to be found the rest of the time.

Its true, basically it seems like this election will be like picking the lesser of three evils.

Two are completely useless with questionable policies and completely out of touch with the real world, and the other has failed to regulate things properly and helped put us all further in the red. Greedy politicians, super choices.

Still it could be worse, at least its not maggie!

But to be fair, at least the whistle has started to be blown, even if it was uncovered by mistake.

I with you, I just do not know who to vote for as I dont trust any MP's. I am seriously thinking of not even bothering voting.
