Although my “foot well” lights (supplied as part of the luxury pack) come on, and then dim along with the interior lights when the doors are open and then closed, they never extinguish completely.
They only work when either side or headlights are on, but having illuminated feet seems an unnecessary luxury!
The car has been back to the dealers but they seemed unable to rectify the problem.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?
(I don’t have a MFD just the standard)

Johnnny - Thanks but I'm not so worried so much about the brightness as them never going off - I assume yours do eventually?

They are on all the time your lights are on, but I think, and am prepared to be shot down here, that you can turn them off and down on the MFD.

They are great I have turned mine up to 75%, the wife can rummage in her handbag for hours without having to destroy my night vision by turning on the overhead lights.

In new civic it is all the rage to fit blue or red LEDs in the footwells for mood lighting, and they are bright

I know I can definitely adjust the brightness with the highline, not sure what it goes down to though as I like to keep mine on too, I like them

Hi, I just checked with VWCS and they advise at present you CAN’T turn off the foot well lights.
My dealer has raised the problem with VW Germany and I apparently I will have wait until they respond with a solution. The dealers VAG COM check shows no problem with my car - except the lights only dim and don’t extinguish!

I have them but I don't recollect you being able to change the brightness in the Highline only the time they are on for, 10 seconds default settings. Someone asked about the brightness in another topic can they fit larger bulbs a few weeks ago but I didn't read all of it.

Definately can turn them up/down/off on mine. They are on all the time the lights are on. Once into the settings on the dash, you can turn them up/down in 5% increments between 0 and 100%.
