    Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of advice really regarding issues with timing belt change on a Mark V golf TDI GT.

I've just had mine changed at the main dealer and since it's come back, fuel economy has dropped off (according to trip computer) by 10 - 12 MPG!!!!

Just wondered if anyone has ever experienced a similar thing or is something wrong with my car - it doesn't seem right to suddenly be doing 10 - 12 miles less per gallon......

will be calling the dealer in the morning to get their opinion.

Ps - When new belt was originally fitted the technician taking it for a test drive noticed it juddering and stopped immediately. on inspection, the new belt had started to work it's way off due to a supposed fault with new tensioner.... Hope they've not f%$*ed my car up.
