Hello, I 'm having trouble with the alternator on my Mk2 Golf 1.8 (GU).
The brushes are worn too low and I understand that to replace them you need to replace the regulator unit complete.
If anyone knows where I could get one I'd be very pleased to hear from them.
    The Alternator is a Valeo 026903015E 65Amp
    Thanks, Andy

I've picked them up at Kragers/Shucks/Checker auto parts. Call around, their stores in the larger cities usually have it.

Thanks for your response but I live in the UK and shipping stuff over from the US has become pretty expensive of late.
There's quite a lot of useful stuff available on eBay from the US. I wish we had as plentiful supplies here.
Something as simple as a regulator/brushes is like trying to find gold here!
Thanks again for your help anyway.
