when starting from cold the brake pedal has a firm feel to it, (the same kind of feel you get after pumping the pedal with the engine not running) and very very little response is felt from the brakes themselves. After driving for maybe 200 yards normal service is resumed. this gave me quite a nasty surprise when getting to the end of the road to give way this morning, still bleary eyed from a late lockin at the pub last night.

i think i'm right in saying there's not much going on electronically in the brake system apart form the abs unit, so i don't expect any fault codes. my guess is there is something causing a delay in the build up of the vacuum in the servo?

anyone had this before? or know what could cause it?
