    Guys

i placed a thread the other day saying that i felt my 2.0 tfsi s line special edition 220bhp seemed to lack turbo now and again.

so i took it to audi bristol and the master tech said there are no fault codes showing up and all is fine.

some times you can really feel the turbo pull you back into the seat and other times it just feels like a normal 2.0 non turbo car.

people have said about the diverter valve ripping and i told audi this but they said no fault codes present so it cant be a problem.

now i have only had the car around 1 month and its now got 7k on the clock had 5k when i bought it.

where do i go from here ? it really does not feel like a car with 220bhp
i had a peugeot 407 2.2 petrol sport before and the audi does not feel loads quicker to be honest.

is the diverter valve easy to get out to check ?
do i take it back to audi and insist they check it ?
or anyone in bristol that know there audis that i can take it to ?
the car is still under warranty.

It will most likely be the diverter valve. I'm amazed that the "no fault code = nothing wrong" disease has now spread to Master Techs! Whatever next!

If you take the car to a non Audi dealer then you will need to pay for any diagnosis they undertake. You could try going to Bath or Glos Audi to get a different take on it.

If you get nowhere insist you leave the car with them for extensive testing.... .... if they continue to give the same response call Audi UK customer services and complain....
I would maybe try another car with identical engine to make sure yours is definately down on power...

    Hi Trapster,

I had a similar problem with the 197bhp version of the 2.0TFSI when I first got the car.

No faults and nothing could be found. However, when I disconnected the MAF the car ran much better. I was told that the MAF is really reliable but persisted anyway.

I then got the MAF changed and the performance and response continued to be good. Therefore I have to say that the MAF must have been at fault.

So, may be worth disconnecting and seeing if it makes any difference in your case.

This will generate a MIL which will clear when you re-connect.

The MAF is fairly easy. Behind the drivers side headlamp you will see the air box and intake (the intake is a black section of large flat piping thats mostly hard, but with a flexible join)... By looking at this you should be able to figure out where the air comes in... and then where it goes into the engine...

After the air box there is a round section of intake that should have a sensor on it with a wire coming out which is a detachable multi plug... this is your MAF...

Today I had my car serviced by a specialist and a few faults were thrown up when we did a full VAG com system scan. I have at times been a bit underwealmed by the power of the car... I am not sure exactly how powerful it is meant to be! But then at other times I find it highly satisfying to drive...

The only annoying sumptom I have is that it takes a fair few cranks to actually fire up when I start the engine from cold... not overly long... but longer than my old TDI tool....

    I had :-

    008200 - Intake Manifold Flap: Bank 1: Electrical malfunction P2008 - 001 - Upper limit exceeded.

012600 - Intake Manifold runner control: Regulation deviation P3138 - 008 Implausable signal

012555 - Low Pressure Fuel Regulation: Fuel Pressure Outside Specification P301B - 002 - Lower limit exceeded - Intermittent

We printed out the faults and I have freeze frame data too... We cleared down the fault memory and I am going to run the car for a few days and take it back in... We will then do another full system scan.
