    Hi All

Just wondering if anyone out there knows if there is a way to get gapless audio on an Audi symphony head unit. I have quite a few albums on my 16GB Kingston SDHC card (e.g. DJ Mixes) that should be preferably played without pauses between tracks!

    Cheers

Mine does it without any problem - I would have noticed because I have quite a few live albums. Are you sure this isn't something about your mp3 files?

I listen to mostly techno and trance music, most of these are non stop on the source CD to provide the non stop/no gap between tracks.

As soon as you rip it to a Micro SD/SD card it splits the album up into its tracks, this is then copied to the card in the form of seperate files hence the gap in your music between tracks.

The only thing you could do it merge the tracks but this will just provide one large track, or use some software to merge into one track and then put your own table of contents every 4 tracks or so to reduce the gaps.............. it is a pain.

The other poster does not have a problem with some of his music, perhaps we are doing something wrong?!

    Thanks for the responses guys!

Satsu - I would be very interested to know how the steps you took to achieve this.

I have mp3 albums (mostly DJ sets) that play without gaps on my ipod and in itunes but when played on the SDHC card there are gaps.

I too listen to alot of dj mixes and trance and find that the sd card could be better but I also have the 10 gig HDD and it's really not that bad (I mean you take Armin van Buuren's ASOT yearmixes, I was expecting them to sound really bad but was really pleasantly surprised!). By far the best though is to stick yer DJ mixes and trance on ipod gapless or stick the original cd in the player(bit old fashioned I know..lol
