golf 5 tdi turbo

i have a mark 5 2005 golf tdi, the car has just had a new turbo and is going well although theres is a noise coming from the turbo (similar to what a dump valve sounds like,) as far as i know the turbo is releasing the un needed boost when i change gear or take my foot of the gas, the turbo made the same noise before it was replaced, and its boosting fine so i assume its ok, anybody elses do the same thing??

also i am considering a remap, wat is a safe amount to take it to on a stanard turbo and clutch?

You need to check the inlet pipes from the turbo to the inlet manifold including the intercooler sounds like you've got a leak when its boosting.

thanks for the reply! i thought that, but if she was leaking boost would it not be down on power? plus it done it before the turbo was replaced! il check over them anyway
