Just in the process of selling my lovely 2004 A3 2.0 TDI sport and would ideally like to buy a 5dr version (child friendly). I'm hoping to get around £7K for my old car and don't want to spend more than £9K on a replacement. This puts me around a 2005/06 with 70Kish miles. My own A3 had the head replaced in 2007 under warranty, how much of a risk is it that I'm going to buy an A3 with a dud head?

Million dollar question - I recommend an Audi Dealer to purchase yes it will be a higher cost but you can buy cover.

What about buying on Finance and getting a new one - tlionhart and Chief have a better understanding on PCP etc - I would recommend there advise if you had not thought about this route
    Current - Audi A3 Sportback 1.8T Sline
Gone - Audi S3 Sportback Black Edition, Audi S4 Saloon,
Why not join the Audi A3 Owners Club
