2.0ltr TDI SE??

On the motorway this afternoon and i came up behind a georgia blue golf. It was an se but said 2.0ltr tdi on the back. It had a bluetooth fin but no tinted windows and se alloys. Do you reckon it was an import cause ive been on vw website and the 2.0ltr tdi isnt avaliable in se spec. I know on the continent they mix and match specs more than we can which seems a good idea because i looked at the 2.0ltr diesel but couldnt stretch to 20k for the spec i wanted.

your mistaken, the 2.0 TDI is available in SE spec.

They do come with the 2.0TDI. I know someone with one. I also had a quick check of the VW website, and I can confirm it does say the 2.0TDI is available.

There was also the old 2.0litre 110bhp TDI, replaced by the 1.6TDI 105 from September, although i think these were badged just TDI on the rear.

Cool ,didnt know you could get them in SE spec thought they were gt only. Bit annoyed that my dealer told me only the 110 2.0ltr was avalible but maybe its changed since??

When the Mk6 was launched, the diesel SE was only available with a 2.0 TDi engine either with 110PS or 140PS. Last September, the 1.6TDi was introduced but you can still purchase the 2.0TDi SE today but only with a 140PS engine.

Tried the 1.6 and the 2.0. The 1.6 felt flat at low rpm with definite turbo lag whereas the 2.0 pulled right from tickover all the way to the red line! We collected our new 2.0 TDI SE 140 yesterday and so far so good!!! Done all of 20 miles in it so far
