    Hi all,

Quick question regarding my coolant level - I know I have a leak around the radiator so over the last couple of months the coolant level has gradually dropped, until this morning when I got the coolant level low warning notice.

The car is booked in for a weeks time to have the radiator replaced, however for the meantime I have bought some general purpose anti-freeze and coolant - ensured it's compatible with VW engines too.

Am I OK just mixing antifreeze and water 50/50 (as directed on the container) and then just topping up to the desired level? I'd only be using this for the next week max, until the radiator is changed and the system properly flushed.

    thanks for any help.

    paul
