Hi - I have an intermittant fault with my brake light on my 2002 A4, On a say a 30 min journey the Driver information system will come on about 6 times telling me that the rear left brake light is out. It will then clear itself and be ok for a while. I have checked that when the DIS is diplaying a fault that the brake light isn't working and it's not, The bulb is fine. Any idea's as it's driving me bananas....

Clean the contacts on both clusters, not just the side where the fault is.
Change the bulbs, use quality bulbs.

Change the bulbs - do both - be careful buying them though as the ones at Halfords are currently packaged up wrong - go to your local Audi dealership and get them, you will need the staggered pin ones
