Hi all,

New kenwood arrived today and was duly fitted - so now I have i-pod and Bluetooth in the car. The standard speakers sound much better than they did but I don't feel they do the new head unit justice.

I removed one of the speakers today to compare size and depth to a replacement.

Not sure what to do now, the OE speakers have 4 spades on them and are connected via a pair of block connectors with wires going back up to the tweeters I'm guessing.

All the replacement speakers I saw today had just 2 spades on them.

I don't want to start chopping the speaker connectors off of the loom in case I decide to refit the OE stuff when I sell the car one day.

Does anyone know the best way to connect these blocks to new speakers (whilst keeping the tweeters connected?).?

Is it ok to put small male spade connectors in to the blocks and then join the wires together via a female spade to connect to the new speaker? Sort of 4 into 2. Will everything still work if I do this?

Any help appreciated.

Derek
