Hi - I've got bit of a problem. I wanted to fit a factory CD changer to my girlfriends Passat as a surprise for her birthday. It's a B5, 2000 W Reg with Gamma head Unit. I've bought a secondhand factory Changer and a cable to run from the Gamma to the boot.

My problem is, where does the Changer go in the boot?

I thought in the first aid kit compartment, on the left, but at the back of the compartment is just more boot lining material, the same as the compartment door is made from. I expected to see a mount to slide the Changer into

1. Do I need to cut a hole in this? If so, where?

2. Will I find the mount to slide the changer into behind? (The Changer I have has the mounting brackets attached, ready to slide into the car mount and be secured with two screws)

Any help would be really appreciated, and if anyone could post a picture of their factory installed boot changer it would be very helpful please.

BTW - I'm on a bit of a deadline, her birthday is Feb 18th! Thanks
