Hi to all. My Audi starts first time when cold but after running a few miles and stopping, it takes 6 or 7 cranks of the engine before it will fire and run. I get home, leave it, and with a cold engine it starts! I've been told it could be a sensor? Does anybody know where I would find it? Or, perhaps another reason why it happens...? Luckily my battery is standing up to the workload.
Thanks to all you knowledgeable people in advance.

PS. Title should read will NOT start when hot!

I think you should start by checking the basic setting of the injection pump, before replacing unnecessary parts

My Audi 80 2.5L would start hard cold, run ok, kind of when warm, then eventually stopped running when warm, It would stall within a minute at idle. To test the oxygen sensor (or lamda probe), I disconnected it. The car ran fine. I removed and replaced probe now it runs fine.
