folks any help appreciated on this one.

mk 5 golf, gt tdi, 2004/5.

for the last 4-5 weeks the number 2 is constantly on, located on the on board dash computer at the top right hand side.

tried a few searched on the forums, found nothing.

does anyone know what this means?

    again help appreciated.

    thanks

It will be that you have two trip computers and when you are using each one it will show either '1' or '2'. You should be able to switch between them and rest each accordingly.

If your Golf is a 'Match' or higher spec all you need to do is press "ok" on the right hand steering wheel controls and you will toggle between trip 1 and 2.. Trip 2 is the long range version and takes an average mpg over a bigger chunk of latest mileage.
